Geoffrey grew up in Syracuse and spent most of his time staring up at the clouds fascinated by airplanes. He has been flying planes, in simulators at least, since he was old enough to use a computer. Every chance he could get, he would fly planes virtually, until he finally got to do the real thing in a program they had for his boy scout troop. He studied aerospace engineering at Syracuse University and upon receiving his bachelor’s degree in 2019 he realized that he didn’t want to design planes, he wants to fly them. So he got his private pilot license right here in Central New York that same year, and trained in the busy airspace of Phoenix, Arizona for his flight instructor certificate. His ultimate goal is to be a commercial airline pilot, but for now he enjoys instructing because he gets to talk about his favorite subject all the time, and gets to spread the joy of flight with everyone he meets.
